Ray Stevens: Global Warming Song

Ray Stevens on the The Global Warming Song. If you do decide to invest in some frozen farm land in the Arctic, be sure to bring your firearms with you. Polar Bears consider humans to be a tasty snack. If you invest in frozen farm land in Antarctica on the other hand, you'll only need your firearms for hunting and to protect yourself from predators that have two legs:

Gun Dudes Contest: Eric's Rant

I'm a regular listener of all of the Gun Rights Radio podcasts. The Gun Dudes recently held a contest asking for audio proof of Eric (of the Handgun Podcast) ranting about the Pro Arms podcast. I just found out that I won a consolation prize for my Eric's Rant submission which of course is good news for me, I had fun doing it. Tony (of the Firearms Cafe) was the Judge, and he really did pick the best entry. Shawn Paris was the contest winner (not sure on spelling) - he did an awesome job. :)

When I submitted my audio to the Gun Dudes I cc'd Eric with a copy of it & Eric replied with: "You're a bad, bad man. LOL!" To which I of course was ROFL. So much fun. :)

Another Reason to Carry: Raptors Ahead

In addition to being useful in case of an attempted car jacking or other thuggery from the 2 legged criminal element, carrying a weapon can be useful in case you ever see the below sign while driving on the Freeway: Raptors Ahead:

Weapons can also be useful in case you are warned of Zombies roaming the road. To practice defending yourself during random Zombie attacks, you can order Zombie targets from Kenn.

Monty Python Skit: Self Defense Against Assailants Armed with Fresh Fruit

An old Monty Python skit on how to defend yourself against an assailant armed with fresh fruit. A couple of my favorite lines:

". . .it's quite simple to defend yourself against the banana fiend. First of all, you force him to drop the banana. Next you eat the banana, thus disarming him. You have now rendered him helpless . . ."

"What if you don't have a gun?"

"Run for it . . ."

The Cartridge Family

Most of you probably already know that Alan Korwin is the author of many gun related books such as the Arizona Gun Owners Guide which is a must have for all Arizonans. Some of you may not know however that he is also a member of The Cartridge Family Band. I heard them sing at the SAF 2008 Gun Rights Policy Conference this past September & also at the annual Arizona Citizens Defense League meeting that took place this past Saturday. I really enjoyed their music so this past weekend I asked Alan if they had a CD available. It turned out that they don't yet, but he did promise to send out a link to youtube videos of a few of their songs in his next Page Nine newsletter, which he did in his 54th edition. Thanks Alan!

Here is Glock 17:

Others:
Miguel Row Your Coke Ashore, Battle Hymn of the Repubic, Bad New Tax Arising, and That'll Be the Day (When You Take Our Guns).

Don't watch this if you love your Prius!

If you love your Toyota Prius please do NOT watch this video. For everyone else there are some nice guns toward the end of this video that provide indisputable evidence that the Toyota Prius is in fact, not bullet proof:

Paul Helmke on the The Colbert Report

Too funny: Brady President Paul Helmke interview on The Colbert Report.

A few classic Brady quotes from the interview:

"We're still arguing about what the constitution means . . . it's the only amendment that's got the word regulated in it, they must have meant some sort of regulation"

"I don't ever carry a gun around, so I don't think I need a gun, if you came at me right now with a knife I'd try to trip you up and get away from you, I would try to appeal to your rational side, and if you don't have a rational side then I'd try to kick you in the, uh, where I could hurt you."

"I'm not anti-gun . . . right now we don't do anything to keep the crazy people hardly from getting the guns"

"Adding guns to a situation only escalates the situation, guns are dangerous weapons, talk to Jim Brady about what a bullet can do, he took that bullet in the head at the time of the assassination attempt of President Reagan, Jim Brady I think is really one of the true heroes of our society"
My favorite Colbert quote on the topic of using what happened to Jim Brady to push for gun control legislation:
"How long is he going to hold that up as like I know more about being shot than you do because I got shot, wouldn't it take more courage to be shot & go no, I'm not going to infringe other peoples rights just because something bad happened to me, that would be bold . . . I think people are tired of the `a lot of people have been killed by guns card`"

Carolyn McCarthy explaining what a barrel Shroud is

This is an oldie but goody - definitely very funny. I died laughing when I first saw it. Democrat Carolyn McCarthy doesn't know what a barrel shroud is even though guns with barrel shroud's would have been banned in legislation she sponsored this past Feb of 2007 called the "weapons ban & law enforcement protection act of 2007." When she was questioned about what a barrel shroud was or why it should be banned on an interview on NBC news she said:

I actually don't know what a barrel shroud is, I believe it's a shoulder thing that goes up.
Check it out for a good laugh:

What exactly does she have against a device that protects us from being burned? Does she own stock in some company that sells a burn relief cream or something?
