ABC Nightline anti-gun spin

ABC Nightline recently aired a segment covering Restaurant Carry with the title of "Guns and Booze." With a title like that, they were certainly off to a good start on their standard anti-gun spin. At the end of the segment, they even tried to "prove" that when you draw your gun from a concealed holster you're more likely to have less accurate aim, by having a man shoot with slow measured shots on the first target, then drawing his gun and shooting a group of shots in rapid succession at a second target, then comparing the two target groupings. Pure genius.

Kudos to Nikki Goeser for managing to get in many excellent points on our side of the issue.

What could have been a good story was easily made negative. The media sensationalizes crime yet tries their best to keep us from protecting ourselves.

The supposed cop that was demonstrating that slow fire is more accurate than rapid fire cheated a bit. There were 10 shots in the rapid fire target that supposedly were fired from that small frame revolver. Also, the slow fire groups sucked. He is by no means the "expert shot" that they tried to make him out to be.

The report was not as bad as it could have been.
Some of the so called testing was poorly done. It is not reasonable to compare slow aimed fire with rapid fire.
I did notice the rapid fire sequence still put all shots center mass on the target.

Even more surprising than ABC running an anti-gun program; they used the term "clip" correctly!

I don't have a problem with them showing both sides of the issue but I am actually surprised that ABC’s Nightline made the first part of the story sound so pro gun.

By the way I have been to the bar in the video where the live band is playing. I had a great time downtown.

How about Booze and Cars?

Another inanimate object that once under control of a human creates more mayhem, death and destruction then guns do?

The media filled with untruths, lies and bias. Reporting and journalism has been dead a long, long time. Now the media is what we see while standing at the checkout counter. "Martians Have Landed" Wolfboy Discovered" "Obama is Half White" type headlines.

Bleh...And the sheple soak it up!!!

Georgia got resturant carry about a year before our neighbors Tenn did.

We have yet to have blood in the streets or wild west shoot outs.

But, I am still waiting with baited breath for them to happen(sarcasim intended).
