I'm a Bitter Gun Owner & I Vote!

I'm definitely going to get one of these for my front yard:

  1. In my neighborhood, I'm afraid that'd be an invitation to try to rob my house.

  2. Squeaky Wheel, yes there are definitely risks in many things that deal with Politics & War (libertarians & conservatives are entrenched in a war with liberals & progressives who wish to turn our country into a Socialist Pile of Dung - did I say that out loud?). I think the benefits (possibly one more vote for anyone other than Obama from Liberal or "Progressive" gun owners) are worth the risks to me. However, it is a personal decision each individual must weigh & make for themselves.

Wyat: That comment left me ROFL. :)

  3. I consider the someone burglarizing the house to be a very serious risk, even in my relatively safe neighborhood.

I understand wanting to change opinions with the sign, but to me advertising that you have something very valuable to criminals in your house just isn't worth it.

  4. I understand that viewpoint & I certainly don't fault anyone who takes it. The risk of burglary or worse - home invasion, is very real, and one should definitely take that into consideration when weighing the pros & cons while making such an important decision.

  5. I wouldn't put it in front of my home as I feel it is too risky but I would help by buying a sign or making a donation

  6. If only more people followed this example. This once proud nation would stand strong again. I bet the crime rate went down on your street after that signw as put up.

  7. Good point Kevin. I didn't mention this earlier but it did occur to me that everyone who signed the Declaration of Independence risked their family fortunes & indeed their very lives to fight for the very freedoms we still enjoy today. The very least I can do to protect the freedom I enjoy is to take the risk of placing a political sign up in my own front yard in hopes of defeating the Socialist named Obama currently running for President on the Democrat ticket.

  8. squeaky wheel, I think you have it backwards --if a burglar knows you own a gun, I'd think he'd more likely move on to the next house for fear that someone in your home would DEFEND the home. Criminals rob easy targets: take florida for example, since the concealed carry laws made it easier for floridians to own guns, robberies of people driving rental cars went way up (out of state tourists without guns)

  9. That's my thought as well Jimmy. Surveys of criminals in jail have shown they fear running into an armed homeowner more than they fear going to jail or being caught by the Police. Why? Probably because if they get shot by an armed homeowner they could easily die.

They would probably have better odds trying a home with an Obama sign. Many Obama supporters don't have guns, not all, but I'd wager the odds are better for the criminals that they'd find an unarmed homeowner behind an Obama sign than they would be to find an unarmed homeowner behind a McCain sign, even more so with a home that has a "I'm a bitter gun owner & I Vote" sign in the front yard.

  10. OBAMA IS TAKING OUR RIGHTS AWAY .... IT IS YOUR CHOSE IF YOU WANT A GUN IN YOUR HOUSE OR NOT.... THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE AROUND YOU WITH GUNS THAN WITHOUT AND YOU IN THE HOUSE AND YOU ARE NOT THREATEN BY THEM .... IF WE DIDNT HAVE GUNS THEN WE WOULDNT NEED A MAKE MY DAY LAW OR MATTER OF FACT COPS WOULDNT NEED THEM EITHER THINK ABOUT IT ......
