The real issue is thin layer of easily bypassed security. After doing a quick search I found out that the so-called "hackers" simply used a standard method of resetting the password for the mobile sign to the default password by holding down a couple of keys on the devices keypad & were then able to enter their replacement phrase & post it.

I'm sure that while doing the prank they broke an entire slew of laws & will probably be prosecuted if they get caught.Dustinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10234393631788374972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4063163257624231557.post-69417988378271113042009-02-03T14:24:00.000-07:002009-02-03T14:24:00.000-07:00Yes that is very true. In the news link some city representatives mentioned that the signs had been there to warn of construction ahead so there is that lack of warning in addition to excessive slowdown as people braked to take a double take on what they were reading.Dustinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10234393631788374972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4063163257624231557.post-62630516650625159902009-02-03T10:38:00.000-07:002009-02-03T10:38:00.000-07:00Really though. As humorous as the highway sign pranks are, it is illegal to do that, not to mention that the message that was supposed to be displayed could have been a warning to avoid accidents.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4063163257624231557.post-31420138827256578802009-02-03T10:32:00.000-07:002009-02-03T10:32:00.000-07:00Anonymous: yes that one was funny also :)Eric: ROF...Anonymous: yes that one was funny also :)

Eric: ROFL!

Hebertprime: I know the feeling!
