Juice Plus+ dietary supplement - stay healthy!

This is a bit off my normal topic, but my wife & I recently learned about Juice Plus+ from one of our friends. We were so impressed with the independent clinical research (delivers key phytonutrients, reduces oxidative stress, supports healthy immune system, helps protect DNA, & positively impacts key indicators of cardiovascular wellness) that we decided to start taking it as our primary dietary supplement in place of the expensive vitamins we had been using. In a nutshell it is made up of about 17 whole food fresh fruits, vegetables, and grains juiced & cool temperature dehydrated to extract the nutrients using a proprietary process into a powder form then placed into convenient capsules for a cost of about $1.36/day to take as a dietary supplement. But don't take my word for it, look at the independent research & decide for yourself.

We have our guns to not only have fun in the shooting sports but also to defend the lives of ourselves & our families, so we might as well do what we can to stay healthy through healthy diet & exercise so that we can enjoy our lives more fully. Research shows that we should all be eating 7-13 servings of fresh fruits & vegetables every day to reduce our chances of many kinds of illnesses such as cancer & heart disease just to name two - an ounce of prevention is worth much more than a pound of hospitalization, especially at todays doctor & hospital prices.

If like me you find that it is too expensive to buy 7-13 servings of raw fresh vegetables & fruits every day (have you seen the fresh produce prices recently?), or you don't have the time to ingest 7-13 cups of fruits & vegetables every day, Juice Plus+ is a great way to supplement the amount of fruits & vegetables that you are able to buy & consume on a daily basis at the reasonable cost of $1.36/day. How much is your health worth to you? :)

My wife & I also like their Juice Plus+ Complete shake mix - Very delicious & great as a way to replace a meal if you want to cut back on your daily caloric intake.

OK, I'm done with my eat healthy & exercise daily spiel, now back to my regularly scheduled gun rights & shooting sports topic. :)

Update 1: View some suggestions on uses of the shake mix & the thins from a friend of ours as well as the nutrition information for the Juice Plus+ Complete drink mix.

Ok, ok... I eat lots of fruit and veggies, but still probably not enough. So I'm reading their website, but not finding quite enough info.

Does their "complete" one have some protein too, so I can truly use it before/after a workout? How long have you been using it? Do you feel better?

Just checking...

I am an exercise physiologist and the author of a book on supplements (Nutritional Supplements What Works and Why). In over 12 years of research and study, Juice Plus +is the only supplement I have found that has significant research to back up its claims. I use it myself and have seen its effects.

Many supplements claim to have research to support their claims however that research is usually on the ingredients. The research on Juice Plus + is on Juice plus + itself. That's a big difference.

Because the research appears in medical journals is why I reviewed it in my book on supplements.

Thanks for the testimonial Joe. I find I get sick a lot less since I've been on the supplement. I used to get sick many times a year with things the kids would bring home from school. So far this winter I've only had 2 colds, and they both went away quickly.

Anytime Dustin. As someone who writes and studies a lot about dietary supplements I often get people on are interested on my take on products and disappointed when I dont mirror the sentiments of other "experts" but I always try to be impartial using facts as my litmus test. Juice Plus passes that test and I have no problems telling people about it. Like you, I also dont get sick as much and this flu season, I have not gotten sick at all so that speaks volumes!
